Tone Halo
The CalderPips Tone Halo is designed to alter the characteristics of your instrument, giving you more sound options without changing major parts of your instrument. If you don’t play a modular custom build instrument, this is a way to increase the versatility of your setup.
The placement of the Halo means that the instrument retains the characteristics you love, only being affected at the point the sound is leaving the horn. The main effects are a darker, mellower sound with a solid core and a more centred feel with improved security of pitch at all dynamics, The dynamic range us increased in pp and ff.
The ring takes 20 seconds to fit or remove, and is fitted over the thin part of the bell and pushed down into place, where the leather lining creates an interface that allows vibration naturally. This speed and no nonsense fitting means it can be a true “in gig” adjustment.
The simplest explanation of “Tone Halo” is that it adds a little weight to the bell of your instrument, adjusting the feel and sound.
